MANSFIELD, Texas – To commemorate its 75th anniversary, Texas Trust CU has pledged to give up to $25,000 to the North Texas Food Bank.
For every pound of food donated from Nov. 1-19 at its branches or online, Texas Trust will donate $1.
Since each donated dollar can buy three meals, the cash donation will yield 75,000 meals, and the anticipated 25,000 pounds of donated food will provide approximately another 20,000 meals, for a total of 95,000 meals.
Texas Trust will collect canned food at each of its seven local branches to make it easy for the community to donate. Canned goods can be dropped off at any branch during normal business hours. Texas Trust also is hosting a virtual food drive on its website, for those who would prefer to shop and donate online.
