The Infirmary FCU signs core conversion deal with United Solutions Co.

The Infirmary Federal Credit Union has signed an agreement with United Solutions Company, a Tallahassee, Fla.,-based technology credit union service organization, to convert the CU to OnCore, the CUSO’s hosted Fiserv XP2 core system.

The Infirmary FCU is a $20 million institution based in Mobile, Ala. The credit union has served the needs of healthcare professionals employed within Infirmary Health and its affiliates and their families since 1974. Historically, membership in the credit union was a benefit only available to those employed by Infirmary Health and its affiliates. However, in March 2016, membership was opened to all professionals and support staff employed in the healthcare industry in the Alabama counties of Mobile, Baldwin and Escambia.

The credit union said it chose United Solutions as its technology partner due to the CUSO’s “commitment to personalized service and innovative technology solutions.”

United Solutions hosts core processing and other tech services for credit unions. In 2015, the CUSO signed with Fiserv to begin hosting the XP2 core-processing platform as a part of the new OnCore offering.

The Infirmary FCU is scheduled to convert its core processing on April 1, 2019, United Solutions said.

“With their selection of OnCore XP2, The Infirmary Federal Credit Union will have the ability to increase efficiency and meet their member needs with greater ease,” Jim Giacobbe, president and CEO of United Solutions, said in a statement. “We created OnCore XP2 to be the complete, credit-union-in-a-box technology solution for credit unions. With OnCore XP2, our clients get the technology and innovation they need to thrive in a very competitive market.”

“We are extremely excited to be working with United Solutions during our upcoming core conversion. In addition to helping us transfer to a platform that will enable our credit union to grow, we know that using United Solutions will make the process a more seamless transition,” said Adena Whitman, president and CEO of The Infirmary FCU. “We have a small staff, and any conversion is a big task. Knowing we have the United Solutions support and project management skills to help guide us through really provides peace of mind. In addition, the whole staff is excited about the flexibility and the capabilities of the XP2 system, which will allow us to automate and integrate daily tasks, leaving more time to work directly with members and provide fast, web-based service as well.”
