Ticonderoga FCU Collects Cell Phones For Battered Women

TICONDEROGA, N.Y. – Ticonderoga FCU collected 111 used cell phones to donate to the STOP Domestic Violence Center of Essex County.

The credit union asked the public to drop off their old cell phones, chargers and accessories at its branches throughout January and February.

The cell phones will be turned into emergency 911 Life Lines for people in need. Any surplus cell phones that the STOP Domestic Violence Center cannot use will be refurbished and the proceeds from refurbishment will benefit the Center.
