DALLAS – A local man pleaded guilty yesterday to robbing four area institutions, including Resource One CU in Dallas on Dec. 6.

Authorities dubbed Jim Davis, 56, the “Toboggan Bandit” because in each of the four robberies he wore sunglasses, a toboggan cap and a shoulder bag. In three of the robberies, Davis pointed a handgun at employees or members.
During a search of his home, police found a loaded .357 caliber revolver wrapped in a toboggan cap, as well as clothing items worn by Davis during the bank robberies, prosecutors said.
