Treasury Accepting Comments on Proposed CDFI Changes

Credit unions have until Oct. 30 to comment on proposed changes to the application process for receiving Community Development Financial Institutions Fund grants.

The proposed new rule would include revisions to implement the uniform administrative requirements for the Treasury Department's CDFI grant program, which combine grant-related guidance circulars, which reduce administrative burdens for award recipients by reducing the risk of waste, fraud and abuse of financial assistance.

The rule proposal also includes revisions to cost principles and audit requirements for federal awards and technical corrections. The proposed revisions for the CDFI program were published on Monday in the Federal Register.

Comments can be submitted via the federal e-rulemaking portal.
