Truliant Federal Credit Union in North Carolina names diversity leader

Truliant Federal Credit Union in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, has promoted Precious Quire-McCloud to oversee the credit union’s initiatives for diversity, equity and inclusion.

McCloud, who has been with the $4 billion-asset Truliant since 2013 and was most recently its vice president of human resources, will help improve its program for DEI that centers on employees, the communities served by Truliant, supplier diversity and addressing member needs. She succeeds Veronica Calderon, who was appointed in February 2021 and is now chief inclusion, belonging and equity officer for DeVry University, according to her LinkedIn profile.

“Precious has an impressive background and a record of bringing fresh ideas to each new leadership role she has held at Truliant … we will count on her to have an even greater impact by leading the charge for a more inclusive workplace and by enhancing our solutions to best meet the diverse needs of our members,” Sherri Thomas, chief administrative officer, said in a press release Thursday.

McCloud is also an executive committee member and board member for Forsyth Technical Community College and the North Carolina Black Repertory Company.
