TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Tuscaloosa Teachers Credit Union has rebranded itself as RiverFall Credit Union.
The $119 million credit union hired an outside consultant to develop the name, which references the Black Warrior and Tombigbee rivers of Alabama, as well as the state's geographical position south of Tennessee's geographical plateau. The city of Tuscaloosa, where the University of Alabama's largest campus is located, was established along the fall line of the plateau.
The Tuscaloosa Teachers Credit Union dates back to 1953 and has approximately 8,400 members.
