Two CUs Select EPL's i-Power Solution

The $280-million Family Security Credit Union is converting to EPL's web based core processing system, i-POWER, in late 2004. FSCU said it is making the move after recognizing the "need for a data processing system that would decrease the total cost of ownership while providing an open database to allow for easy data exchange, increased availability of features and functionality to better serve its members, and ease of use to help reduce training time for front line staff." Also making the move to i-Power is the 34,000-member, West Virginia-based Fairmont FCU, which has renewed its data processing solution contract with EPL, Inc., Birmingham, Ala. FFCU has been an EPL client for 22 years. The credit union had spent 18 months reviewing vendor options.

Separately, EPL drew more than 100 people to its annual conference in St. Petersburg, Fla., themed "Focus, Shape, Build, Grow and Change." The agenda included presentations on how credit unions have implemented the new "I-Power" software solution. Separately, TVH Federal Credit Union in Tuskegee, Ala. has renewed its contract with EPL for another 10 years.
