Two Resources Offered On Payments, Cards

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.--Credit unions are being offered two new resources on payments and digital wallets. CO-OP Financial Services has released a white paper that focuses on definitions P2P/digital wallets and enabling technologies, a review of key industry developments, and CO-OP's own recommendations for credit unions considering P2P/digital wallets adoption.

The white paper will be available to attendees of free a one-hour webinar that will take place at 11 a.m. Pacific time on Wed., Dec. 5. In Tampa, Fla, meanwhile, CSCU and First Annapolis Consulting have co-authored a white paper titled "EMV: Background and Implications for Credit Unions."

The paper provides outlines the EMV roadmap including timelines and key dates such as the fraud liability shift set for Oct. 1, 2015. The paper also reviews implications for issuers and other stakeholders and analyzes considerations around various card issuance strategies.
