UCLA CU Hit By PhishingAttack

LOS ANGELES - (10/26/05) -- Security services at University CUwere able to catch an attempt phishing attack Monday. Thefraudulent email asked recipients to clink on a link that took themto a site purported falsely to be the credit union's web site,which prompted them to supply their account numbers and PINs. Theemail appeared to be from one of the credit union's employees andthe phony site contained graphics from the legitimate credit unionsite.
