Mid-States Corporate FCU, U.S. Central, Self-Reliance Ukrainian American FCU of Chicago (SUAFCU) and the Illinois Credit Union System (ICUS) met with two representatives from the Ukrainian Credit Union System. Petro Kozynets, president of the Ukrainian National Association of Savings and Credit Unions, and Lyudmyla Kravchenko, vice chairman of the Ukrainian Corporate Central Credit Union, were hosted as part of a visit arranged by Bohdan Watral, President of SUAFCU.
Mid-States signed a mentoring agreement with the Ukrainian National Credit Union Association of Savings and Credit Unions in April 2002. The partnership outlines what assistance Mid-States will provide toward the development of a Central Credit Union System for Ukrainian Credit Unions.
The week long visit also includes tours of the corporate headquarters of Mid-States, U.S. Central, the Illinois Credit Union System and attendance at the Illinois Annual Convention.
