TINTON FALLS, N.J. – United Teletech Financial FCU is posing a challenge to members for the second year in a row – to save $1 million in interest expense this summer.
Once members hit the savings goal, the credit union will make donations to four local charities.
United Teletech offers two ways to save on interest through Sept. 29 during its Million Dollar Community Challenge: first with its TimeShifter mortgage, which helps reduce mortgage terms; and second with its Cut the Card personal loan, providing a fixed-rate payment plan to lower interest while increasing cash flow.
Last year’s campaign saved members $1.8 million in interest for the summer and triggered $19,000 in charitable donations, United Teletech said.
