AUSTIN, Texas - (04/11/05) -- University FCU, one of the biggeststudent lenders among credit unions, said it has qualified to jointhe U.S. Small Business Administration's guaranteed loan program.The $500 million credit union, the first in central Texas toqualify with the SBA, plans to offer small business loans under theagency's 7 (a) guaranteed loan program. The program provides afederal guarantee for 90% of the loan principal.
