AUSTIN, Texas – University FCU has contracted with Firethorn Holdings LLC, a unit of Qualcomm Inc., to provide its members with mobile banking services.
The service will allow members of the $1.2 billion credit union to manage their finances through Firethorn's application platform and upcoming Short Message Service (text messaging) solution. Members will be able to view their account balances, access their transaction histories and transfer money between eligible accounts.
Implementation is planned for later this year.
