KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – UT FCU became the latest credit union to graduate from its education base and matriculate to a community charter when it was approved by NCUA to serve almost 700,000 residents in five surrounding counties.

The $150 million credit union, which was originally sponsored by the University of Tennessee, now serves residents of Knox, Anderson, Blount, Loudon and Union counties.
The 38-year-old credit union is also poised to open its fourth branch later this month, in the Renaissance Office Park, in Farragut.
