SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah CU Foundation, one of the most active credit union foundations in the country, is giving out a total of $9,000 to three schools so they can buy learning materials.
Kearns High School received $5,000 to purchase tools for automotive mechanics students in grades 10-12, Copper Hills Elementary in Magna got $2,000 to purchase guided level reading materials for third-graders and West Valley Elementary in West Valley City also received $2,000 to purchase high-level reading materials for sixth-graders.
The money comes from the foundation’s 100% for Kids program, which has donated more than $7 million to the state’s schools since its 2005 inception.
