On Tuesday night, the New York resident sent the credit union a Facebook message saying that he found an envelope at Hurley’s restaurant, labeled with the credit union’s logo, full of cash.

The Facebook message said “I found a large amount of cash in one of your credit union envelopes in Hurley's restaurant in New York, NY - near Times Square. If there is any way to reach out to whomever left it - I will be in the city until Saturday and want to give it back to them.”

Vantage CU members shared the Facebook post. Some commented that they were inspired by the kindness of the Good Samaritan and their credit union, going to such lengths to return the lost cash.

Lake Saint Louis resident Jennie Guenzler went back over her New York stops and realized she left it at dinner the night before. That’s when she got a call from the credit union. The credit union then connected her with the New Yorker who found her money.

Within hours, they met at her hotel, where he handed her the cash.
