AUSTIN, Texas – The Austin City Council last week approved a contract between Velocity CU and the municipal-owned Austin Energy for the credit union to offer low-interest loans to residential power customers for home energy improvements.
The loans will cover improvements for home heating and air conditioning systems, solar screens, attic insulation and other renovations aimed at curbing energy costs.
The program is part of the utility’s Power Saver Program.
The bank was determined, by multiple industry rankings and experts, to be the best mobile banking provider in the U.S.. Bank of America took second place.
