JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Fidelity National Information Services said first quarter earnings climbed 18% as it prepares for yet another financial restructuring with the spin-off of its huge mortgage servicing operation.
Net income rose to $70.5 million, or 36 cents a share, for the first quarter, up from $59.5 million, or 30 cents a share, for the same period last year.
Revenue rose 21% to $1.29 billion, boosted by last year’s $1.8 billion acquisition of eFunds Corp.
The first quarter report comes as Fidelity National Information, which last year spun off from Fidelity National Title, is preparing to spin off its lender processing services, the nation’s largest mortgage processor.
