VeriSign and anunnamed partner will pay nearly $20 million for the Reston, Va.,Internet payment-services firm. VeriSign's purchase of CyberCash'sassets will expand VeriSign's position in electronic payments,which began a year ago when VeriSign purchased Signio Inc., aRedwood City, Calif., processor of merchants payments. InfoSpaceInc., a Bellevue,Wash., provider of Internet infrastructureservices, placed second in the bidding for CyberCash.
