BURLINGTON, Vt. – Vermont FCU announced the retirement yesterday of its long-time CEO Joseph Finnigan and the hiring of Bernard Isabelle, the CFO at Greylock FCU, in Pittsfield, Mass., to succeed him.
Finnigan has served as CEO of the credit union since 1978, building it into a $225 million credit union, the state’s fourth largest.
Isabelle served as both the senior vice president/chief financial officer and the senior vice president/chief investment officer during his career with $1 billion Greylock. He also formed and served as treasurer of two wholly owned subsidiaries of the credit union. He also served as a senior level executive at several northeast financial institutions including Sikorsky FCU and First Federal Savings & Loan of East Hartford, Conn.
