NEW YORK Viewpointe, an item and check image network, was awarded a U.S. patent for its image quality invention covering proprietary technology to centrally monitor the quality of images of financial documents.

The company said its technology offers credit unions and banks a way to monitor and evaluate the quality of images of financial documents stored for remote access. It also provides the capability for a centralized image storage facility to grant a responsible financial entity access to the images in order to make decisions based on the results of a quality analysis.
