Organizers said a humorous video targeting the “hit” consumers have taken in recent years showcases the direct benefits of credit unions. The “QuitTheHit” video features a George Washington character, who represents money, physically taunting the main character. The video is currently featured on CU Journal's homepage.

Fifty Virginia credit unions, the League and several sponsors are funding the campaign.

The video directs consumers to a newly launched website, www.QuitTheHit.com, where they can learn about the benefits of credit unions, as well as search for a credit union they may be able to join.
