ENDICOTT, N.Y. Visions FCU, the one-time IBM employees’ credit union, announced this afternoon that its longtime CEO Frank Berrish is retiring as head of the $3.2 billion credit union.
Berrish has been with the credit union, formerly known as IBM Endicott/Oswego Employees FCU, since 1975. Prior to that he was with Bankers Trust in nearby Binghamton, N.Y.
He has served on the board of NAFCU, and the Federal Reserve Board Thrift Institutions’ Advisory Board where he worked directly with Federal Reserve Chairman, Ben Bernanke. He was recently elected to the Credit Union House Hall of Leaders, in Washington.
His retirement is effective May 1.
A successor is expected to be named later this spring.
