NASHVILLE — Kentucky Corporate FCU and Volunteer Corporate CU announced plans to merge.
A combined statement from both corporates released Thursday morning indicated the $1 billion VolCorp will be the acquirer, and will keep its name and headquarters. Operations and staff will be maintained at the $153 million-asset Kentucky Corporate's Louisville, Ky., headquarters.
VolCorp's President/CEO Rick Veach said the merger will broaden VolCorp's product offerings "and provide us the ability to continue paying a premium dividend on the capital investment in VolCorp."
Kentucky Corporate Board Chairman Alan Butler also stated the merger will broaden the range of services provided to Kentucky Corporate members.
The deal awaits regulatory and member approval.
