Contest participants may vote once per day through Dec. 22, with the winning CMN hospital being announced on Dec. 23. The credit union with the most votes toward the winning hospital will be invited to co-present the $20,000 check.

The campaign began Dec. 2. As of Dec. 8, CU Direct reported it had already received more than 57,500 votes from credit unions and their members. The CMN Hospitals that had received the most votes as of Dec. 8 are Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, Ind., and Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford & New Haven, Conn.

"As we reflect on 20 years in business, we want to give back to a non-profit that has been near and dear to the CU Direct family for the past decade," Tony Boutelle, president and CEO of CU Direct, said in a prepared statement. "We are excited to let our customers and the credit union community help decide which Children's Miracle Network hospital will receive the donation."

CU Direct has been an active sponsor of the annual Credit Unions for Kids Wine Auction for almost 10 years, benefiting CMN Hospitals in Nevada and California. The annual event has helped raise more than $2.6 million since 2006.
