VANCOUVER, Wash. – Cascade Forest Products FCU has agreed to merge into it Bemis FCU, another small nearby credit union that serves the paper products industry.

Bemis, which has $2 million and reported a $32,000 loss for the first three quarters of the year, began looking for a merger partner when its corporate sponsor Bemis Bag Co. asked it to leave the plant in 2009.
Cascade, with $10 million in assets, serves employees of Boise Cascade and Office Max employees all over the United States, including Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, Illinois, California, Oregon, Washington and several other states, as well as anyone who lives in Washington state.
