WEOKIE CU to Award $30,000 in Scholarships

OKLAHOMA CITY – WEOKIE CU announced yesterday its WEOKIE CU Foundation will provide $30,000 in college scholarships to 20 students this year.

The 501 ( c ) 3 charitable foundation is governed by an appointed volunteer board of directors, which oversee all the foundation and its operations. In addition to offering support for higher education through a scholarship program, the foundation offers a free financial literacy program "Money Talks" that focuses on classroom lessons, presentations and seminars to grades 2-12.

WEOKIE CU is a $500 million credit union with more than 55,000 members.
