CHARLESTON, W.Va. – West Virginia United FCU has signed with Dwolla to implement the company’s integration product, FiSync, which offers members an expedited Dwolla sign-up process.
After signing up for a Dwolla account – a process that takes less than a minute – members of the credit union will be able to make payments to anyone with a mobile phone number or e-mail address, as well as their Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter connections. “We view Dwolla as a way to quickly and affordably enter the mobile payments market,” said Linda Bodie, president of the $26-million credit union.
In addition, members will be able to download the Dwolla mobile application, Dwolla Spots, which allows users to make payments via their smart phone. The app displays a map of Dwolla-accepting merchants based on their smart phone’s current location.
