WESTERLY, R.I. – Westerly Community CU distributed a total of $12,166 last week, money that was raised from its 27th Annual WCCU Holiday Basketball Tournament to the four participating high schools: Chariho, Exeter-West Greenwich, Stonington and Westerly.
The credit union pays for all expenses and 100% of the entry fees from the tournament are divided between the Sports Boosters of Chariho, Exeter-West Greenwich, Stonington, and Westerly High School.
Each school received a check in the amount of $3,041. The event has now raised over $155,191 for sports boosters at local participating high schools since 1984.
