Whatcom Educational CU Donates $10,000 To Community Groups

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Whatcom Educational CU said it donated $9,750 to several community groups as part of its Social Responsibility program.

The agencies that received donations for the first quarter were Bellingham Food Bank, Bellingham High School Band Boosters, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County, Ferndale Food Bank, Friends of the North Fork Community Library, LAW Advocates, Marianne's House, Opportunity Council, Sun Community Service, The Jazz Project, WSU Whatcom County Master Gardener Program, Whatcom Land Trust, and Whatcom Volunteer Center.

Whatcom Education said it will be focusing this year’s social responsibility grants on humanitarian causes because of the downturn in the economy.
