MADISON, Wis. - (10/21/05) -- Three more area credit unions havejoined the 10 credit unions and banks and the University ofWisconsin in a program aimed at helping scofflaw consumers regaintheir checking account privileges. The newest participants, FoxCommunities CU, Kim Central CU and Prospera CU, will join the GetChecking program, which helps consumers who have lost theirchecking accounts because of credit abuses open new checkingaccounts. To qualify for the accounts, participants must attendfree workshops and satisfy certain requirements. Otherparticipating credit unions are: CitizensFirst CU, Community FirstCU and Unison CU.
