The Wisconsin Office of Credit Unions has received reaccreditation for five years from National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors, the fourth such accreditation for the state regulator since 2001.
NASCUS accreditation is valid for a five-year period, subject to annual review. The annual review process enables the accredited agency and the NASCUS Performance Standards Committee to measure progress and improvement.
“Re-accreditation is a significant achievement, representing the effectiveness and sound supervision of the state credit union regulatory system,” NASCUS president and CEO Lucy Ito said in a statement.

Ito further extended her congratulations to Kim Santos, the director of the Wisconsin OCU, as well as the OCU itself and the 143 state-chartered credit unions in the Wisconsin, which hold more than $31 billion in assets.
