Liberty Unveils Variety Of Cards

MOUNDS VIEW, Minn.-Liberty Card Services is introducing three new types of cards to its stable of products: translucent cards, VISA mini cards and glow-in-the-dark ATM cards.

Until now, translucent cards have only been available through a handful of large issuers such as American Express and Citibank, Liberty noted. The new technology is now available as a debit or credit card in six colors: red, orange, yellow, green blue and purple.

The VISA mini card is a 1-inch by 2-inch companion card to the traditional wallet-sized card. The mini card can be attached to the cardholder's key chain for easy access, which could lead to it being the most-used card in a member's possession, Liberty suggested.

The glow-in-the-dark ATM card is designed to catch the eyes of younger credit union members, the firm added.
