BizKid$ Now Reaching 99% of US Market
OLYMPIA, Wash.-PBS has released a "carriage report" showing that BizKid$, the credit union-backed financial literacy program, aired on more than 340 public TV stations during 2009, reaching 99% of the country, including 74 of the top 75 markets. Since launch in 2008, Biz Kid$ episodes have aired more than 70,260 times, while curriculum outreach in schools and after-school programs reached six-million teachers, students and parents in 2009. With season four now underway, the Washington Credit Union Foundation, which oversees the program, has begun fundraising to reach its $1.3-million goal.

Premier Members Absorbs Farmers Union
BOULDER, Colo.-The $390-million Premier Members FCU is absorbing via merger the $4.2-million Farmers Union FCU, which has 700 members.
Insight Financial Now Just Insight CU
ORLANDO, Fla.-Insight Financial CU is shortening its name to Insight CU effective May.
CUES Offering Overdraft Compliance
MADISON, Wis.-The Credit Union Executives Society is offering a new service, Overdraft Compliance, to assist credit unions in preparing for new amendments to Reg E, changes to Regulation DD, and the July 1 deadline for obtaining opt-ins from members on overdraft protection. The CUES program is being offered in conjunction with Strunk & Associates.

Ga.'s Reynolds To Retire
ATLANTA-George Reynolds, senior deputy commissioner of the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance and a former chair of the National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors (NASCUS), is retiring May 1. Reynolds has been with the department 34 years.
NC HQ Moving To Raleigh
GREENSBORO, N.C.-The North Carolina CU League will relocate its headquarters to Raleigh, N.C. by April, 2011. The league said moving to the capital to be more effective in regulatory and legislative advocacy. The new location, which will include staff from the existing Raleigh location.
NJ CU's Roll Out 'Banking You Can Trust'
HIGHTSTOWN, N.J.-The New Jersey Credit Union League has launched an ad campaign themed "Banking You Can Trust." The campaign appears on NJ Transit buses and at train stations, in addition to NJ.com, the New York Times and 95.5 FM WPLJ.
CUNA Mutual, Staff Raise $45K For Haiti
MADISON, Wis.-Employee at CUNA Mutual Group have helped raise more than $45,000 for Haiti credit union relief efforts. About $15,000 of that money, which will go to CUAid and be disbursed by WOCCU, came from CUNA Mutual employees. Corporate contribution and matching funds tripled the final tally.
