Rosenthal Honored With OFN's Highest Award
NEW YORK-Cliff Rosenthal, president of the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions, has been named the newest recipient of the Ned Gramlich Lifetime Achievement Award for Responsible Lending by the Opportunity Finance Network (OFN). The award will be presented Dec. 10 at the OFN Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The award honors one person each year who has achieved remarkable success in promoting and implementing responsible financial services for low-income and low-wealth people. Created in 2007 to honor Gramlich, who had passed away that year, the award is OFN's highest tribute.

Texas, Okla. CULs Merge Some Functions As...
DALLAS-The Oklahoma and Texas Credit Union Leagues have announced an agreement in which the Texas league will begin providing a number of backoffice functions to the Oklahoma league. The move is being made to achieve greater efficiencies of scale, according to both leagues. Texas league CEO Dick Ensweiler said the move "sets the stage for additional and future cooperation." ...Okla. League Also Names Its New CEO
TULSA, Okla.-The Oklahoma Credit Union League has named Debra J. (D.J.) Morrow Ingram as its new President/CEO. Morrow Ingram had been serving as the interim CEO since June of 2007. Morrow Ingram joined the league in February of 2006 to oversee advocacy efforts, and had previously worked as the government relations director in the late 1990s. An attorney, Morrow Ingram has also held positions with the Tulsa Area United Way, Sunoco Inc., Oklahoma Bankers Association and Security Bank and Trust in Ponca City. She is a former assistant attorney general for the state of Kansas.
