Colo., Wyo. Leagues Pursue Formal Merger
DENVER-After years of working together but under separate boards, the Credit Union Association of Colorado (CUAC) and The Credit Union Association of Wyoming (CUAW) are exploring a formal merger to create a new organization to serve CUs in both states. Although the Wyoming league has its own board, it shares professional staff with the Colorado league under a management contract forged back in 1997. The merger will require a majority vote from Colorado's 104 affiliated credit unions and Wyoming's 26 affiliated credit union. No time line has been set for either of these votes.
