Quick Moves Expand Access
ONTARIO, Calif.-Financial Service Centers Cooperative, along with Vons Credit Union and Cardtronics, moved quickly to ensure shared branch access would remain available to the nearly 200 credit unions with more than 30,000 members in the high desert cities of Hesperia and Apply Valley, California. Access to the network would have been lost following the sale of four Arrowhead CU branches to Alaska USA FCU. But FSCC said it has partnered with Vons CU to open a full-service, in-store location inside a Vons grocery store in both markets. FSCC also partnered with Cardtronics to get a Vcom terminal-a full-service kiosk-up and running in Apple Valley. FSCC reported plans are to open additional shared branches in the area.
