Wright-Patt CU Pays $23 Million For New Home

FAIRBORN, Ohio – Wright-Patt CU has acquired the 137,000-square-foot former Computer Sciences Corp. building in nearby Beavercreek for $22.75 million and plans to relocate its headquarters there.

The seller of the Pentagon Blvd. building was Mills Development, which has agreed to sell the $2.5-billion credit union’s 65,000-square-foot current offices, plus a nearby 27,000-square-foot building.

Wright-Patt officials said the move is prompted by the credit union’s rapid growth, which has led to cramped space at the headquarters offices.

Ohio’s largest credit union was chartered in 1932 to serve employees at Wright Field, later Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. It now serves hundreds of select groups.
