Bethpage Ballpark Opens Its Gates

BETHPAGE, N.Y. — Bethpage FCU has unveiled its new Bethpage Ballpark sign on the home ballpark of the minor league Bethpage Ducks. The CU's name and its "B" logo appear as a 40-foot sign and at all entrance gates. In 2010 the credit union acquired the naming rights to the former Suffolk County Sports Complex through 2015, with a renewal option for an additional five years.

Some 4.7-million fans have seen the Ducks play since the park opened in April of 2000. On the day individual tickets went on sale this year, numerous prizes and entertainment were available to fans. Bethpage also awarded the first Ducks' fan in line to purchase tickets a $500 Visa Gift Card and the opportunity to help unveil the new sign, alongside Bethpage President and CEO Kirk Kordeleski and LI Ducks management.

Bethpage FCU said it has over the years developed a number of cross-promotional events with the Ducks across its 22-branch network.

"(The) unveiling was an exciting day for us because it solidifies our commitment to Suffolk County, the Long Island Ducks organization, and most importantly, the community," said Kordeleski. "The Long Island Ducks are entering their 12th season of play here on Long Island and Bethpage, a long time sponsor, is thrilled to take its relationship to the next level and work even more closely with the organization to develop impactful programs for the community."
