Through its charitable foundation, Hanscom FCU, Hanscom AFB, Mass., was a proud supporter of the Salute to Veterans hosted by 66th Air Base Group commander Col. Michael A. Vogel. The base held the ceremony to recognize and thank local veterans for their service to the nation.
Robins FCU, Warner Robins, Ga., sponsored Rebuilding Together by contributing $5,000 to the Annual Work Day Event. Employees will help rehabilitate a home for a low-income homeowner in the community.
In Eau Claire, Wis., Royal CU team members collected nearly $2,000 cash and donated thousands of items that were used for service projects benefiting more than 25 area non-profit organizations.
Del-One FCU, Dover, Del., recognized Tupp Signs, Inc. as its Preferred Employer Group of the Month as a result of the companys active partnership with the credit union.
In Battle Creek, Mich., Kellogg Community FCU employees dressed down or wore blue jeans on designated Fridays in exchange for a charitable donation. Together, employees provided The Haven of Rest Ministries with a financial contribution of $500.
Meridian Trust FCU, Cheyenne, Wyo., gave away a wooden playhouse at each of its eight branch locations as part of a HELOC promotion.
In Notre Dame, Ind., Notre Dame FCU's corporate headquarters and main campus branch is being remodeled. The original exterior, built in 1981, is being modernized with a glass and steel entryway and a new logo to enhance street visibility, appeal and member access.
State Employees CU, Raleigh, N.C., partnered with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Social Services to shine a spotlight on foster care and adoption with the hope of finding permanent homes for foster youth in the state.
In East Windsor, N.J., McGraw-Hill FCU's charitable giving association, The VOICE Foundation, raised $5,000 for The Children's Miracle Network, which this year was for the benefit of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Rock Valley FCU, Loves Park, Ill., presented a check for $800 to Walter Lawson Children's Home. Employees wore blue jeans for a month for a donation to the 3rd annual Gifts of Love campaign.
