Deere Employees digs in
Deere Employees CU held a groundbreaking ceremony for the remodel of its Moline, Ill., branch. La Macchia Group will be designing and building the remodel project, which includes several exterior upgrades and a fresh take on a unique member experience for the interior.
Showing love to Lighthouse
After collecting donations from staff, Genisys CU, Auburn Hills, Mich., presented Lighthouse of Oakland County with approximately 300 pounds of food and a check for $1,000. Lighthouse is the only food pantry in Oakland County that is open five days per week.
Special new space
Meadows CU unveiled its new location with an entire space renovation in Palatine, Ill. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to commemorate the move. Meadows partnered with La Macchia Group to help facilitate the site selection, real estate process and to design the new space.
Awarding excellence
Lower Valley CU, Sunnyside, Wash., received an Honorable Mention at the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions’ 2016 Annual Conference. LVCU was recognized for excellence and achievements among credit unions with less than $250 million in assets.
Bring your iPad to the branch!
Financial One CU hosted a grand reopening event for its recently remodeled Coon Rapids, Minn., branch. The CU partnered with La Macchia Group to create a modern, branded environment. The newly remodeled space includes a member iPad station.
Viva South Jersey!
Andrews FCU, Suitland, Md., donated $2,500 to purchase meals for Viva South Jersey, the Food Bank of South Jersey’s annual fundraising gala. The CU’s donation helped purchase 12,500 meals for food insecure children, and staff from the New Jersey region volunteered their time to pack and distribute the food.
Branch remodel kickoff
Fort Community CU, Fort Atkinson, Wis., celebrated the official start of its main branch remodel, the first since the credit union’s original construction in 1985. La Macchia Group is partnering with the credit union to help bring a modern refresh to the space.
Full-service facility
Education First Credit Union, Westerville, Ohio, relocated its Gahanna office to a full-service space on East Main Street in Columbus, Ohio. The larger space offers full teller and loan services, a drive-up ATM and night depository, and plenty of parking.
Cedar Falls celebration
Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based Collins Community CU held a ribbon-cutting ceremony in honor of its new branch, located in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The 4,444-square-foot facility was designed and built by La Macchia Group.
Among the best of the best
Simplicity CU, a Marshfield, Wis., project designed and constructed by Milwaukee-based La Macchia Group, received an Excellence Award for Branch Design from the CUNA’s Operations, Sales & Service Council.
