Michigan Community CU, Jackson, Mich., said its Free Ice Cream Friday event at Swiss Swirl was a "great success" as hundreds of people stopped by.
RTN FCU, Waltham, Mass., thanked the many walkers, volunteers, donors and businesses who participated in its fifth annual Walk Home event in Waltham, Dorchester and Danvers. Donations are still coming in to benefit the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless.
MidSouth Community FCU, Macon, Ga., partnered with United Way of Central Georgia for its 2015 Book Fair and distributed books to children at local elementary schools.
Sharon CU, Sharon, Mass., awarded $15,000 in scholarships: $2,500 each to six students.
Representatives of the Indiana CU League and affiliated credit unions met with Indiana Congressmen, plus all three NCUA board members, during a visit to Washington, D.C.
Robins FCU, Macon, Ga., awarded a Wii U game bundle to Steven Waters, winner of the June First Friday drawing. Separately, the CU sponsored the upcoming 2015 Komen Race for the Cure by contributing $1,000 to Susan G. Komen Central Georgia.
Jersey Shore FCU, Northfield, N.J., awarded three $1,000 scholarships.
Oregon State CU, Corvallis, Ore., broke ground on its new, 62,000-square-foot operations center. The CU also donated $5,000 to victims of arson at South Albany High School.
The League of Southeastern CUs & Affiliates held a Mad City Money Reality Simulation at its annual Southeast Credit Union Conference & Expo, as 55 middle and high school students from the YMCA Teen Achievers Program of Central Florida participated.
Lansing, Mich.-based LAFCU's new St. Johns branch has advanced member service options, including interactive teller machines (ITMs). The CU donated $5,000 to the City of St. Johns to help fund a proposed community water spray park, and recognized a Community Champion.

Rock Valley CU, Loves Park, Ill., donated $475 to the Rockford Rescue Mission. Employees paid to wear blue jeans on casual Fridays for two months.
Kellogg Community FCU, Battle Creek, Mich., collected food and $1,000 for the Food Bank of South Central Michigan to help children in the communities which KCFCU serves from going hungry this summer.
Employees of Sb1 FCU, Philadelphia, donated more than 100 items, helping fill five Lisas Army Comfort Care Packages with blankets, journals, games and personal care items.
Los Angeles FCU, in partnership with the American Red Cross Los Angeles Region, hosted a Bloodmobile Drive at its Glendale. Nearly 20 pints were collected, which will benefit 50 patients, and the CU donated $3,000 to the American Red Cross.
Michigan State University FCU reached the 200,000-member milestone. To celebrate, the CU offered a $500 cash prize and a gift pack to the 200,000th member. Two randomly selected members also were chosen to win a $2,500 Visa Gift Card and a $5,000 travel package.
Pacific Marine CU, Oceanside, Calif., held a month-long campaign that raised more than $7,300 for Rady Children's Hospital, a Children's Miracle Network Hospital in San Diego.
Service CU, Portsmouth, N.H., held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its newest branch at Grand Forks Air Force Base, the CU's first branch in North Dakota.
Nusenda CU, Albuquerque, was named the "Best Credit Union" in New Mexico by the Albuquerque Journal for the second year in a row.
Marion Community CU, Marion, Ohio, has had a busy summer: participating in the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life, celebrating Flag Day (June 14), sponsoring the Army Field Band to perform at the Marion Palace Theater and hosting a blood drive.
