As Signature Sponsor for the 2016 March of Dimes March for Babies Walk event, Heritage Trust FCU, Summerville, S.C., donated more than $17,000 to the local charity.
Nearly 19,000 members of the FAT CAT and teen Zard programs responded to Raleigh, N.C.-based State Employees' CU's Youth Saving Challenge, "Launch into Saving!" by setting a new record: depositing $3.4 million into savings accounts while opening 679 new youth accounts.
Vantage West CU, Tucson, Ariz., held its Annual Meeting of the Membership, with Chairman Charles Matthewson and President/CEO Robert Ramirez presenting the 2015 annual report, which embraced Vantage West's 61-year legacy and focused on strategic plans for the future.
American Heritage FCU, Philadelphia, partnered with Ronald McDonald House to participate in its Guest Chef Program. AHFCU employees volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House's Chestnut House in Philadelphia, preparing home-cooked meals for families.
Indiana Members CU, Indianapolis, donated $17,375 to 10 area schools for the 2015-2016 academic year through its school-themed debit card program.
Educational Systems FCU, Greenbelt, Md., wrapped up its "100 Days, 100 Ways to Save" promotion. The grand prize winner, William McGowan, asked the $1,000 donation in his name be divided among four schools.
Bronco FCU, Franklin, Va., awarded $20,000 in scholarships to eight high school seniors: two $5,000 scholarships, one $2,500 scholarship, one $2,000 scholarship, three $1,500 scholarships and one $1,000 scholarship.
Hopewell FCU, Heath, Ohio, once again offered its support to the Food Pantry Network of Licking County for its Operation Feed campaign. The CU's members and staff collected 94 lbs. of food and cash donations totaling nearly $600.
The Georgia CU League announced during its annual meeting its plans to "do great things" with Purple Heart Homes' Operation: Veteran Home Renovation.
