MyPath donation
Alliance CU, San Jose, Calif., partnered with MyPath, a non-profit that helps promote economic mobility among low-income youth and young adults, to help more than 300 area youth get their first checking accounts.
From the heart
New England FCU, Williston, Vt., conducted the Franklin County Food from the Heart Drive in conjunction with other community partners and the St. Albans Messenger. The drive included 12 drop-off locations and collected a total of 1,308 lbs. of food. NEFCU also donated $500.
Showing the CU difference
Meridian Trust FCU, Cheyenne, Wyo., donated a total of $10,000 to local charities to highlight the difference credit unions make in their communities.
Nearly 10 tons of food
America First CU, Riverdale, Utah, donated collected food items from its 12th Annual Community Food Drive to the Utah Food Bank. With the help of the community and employees, the credit union collected a total of 19,601 lbs. of food.
Paintball for the PAC fund
Georgia United CU, Duluth, Ga., hosted its 14th annual Credit Union Paintball Tournament to support the Georgia Credit Union Affiliates’ Political Action Committee fund. The CU invited other local CUs to participate, as 12 teams of seven players each raised approximately $10,000.
Honoring excellence
DEXSTA FCU, Wilmington, Del., received the Award of Excellence in Social Responsibility from the Cooperative CU Association. The award recognizes member CUs for excellence in promoting a deeper awareness and knowledge of all credit unions.
More Millionaire's Club
The Credit Union Foundation MD|DC created its newest Millionaire's Club financial education experience at Old Mill High School in Millersville, Md. It is the first Anne Arundel County-based Millionaire's Club. Educational Systems FCU, Greenbelt, Md., is the club's sponsor.
They've got spirit
Indiana Members CU, Indianapolis, presented a check for $2,841 to Westfield High School in Westfield, Ind., as part of an ongoing school spirit debit card program.
Welcome refreshment
Volunteers from Altura CU, Riverside, Calif., handed out refreshments to bicyclists participating in the seventh Annual Riverside Citrus Classic Bike Ride for Education, which consists of 100-, 50-, 28- and 7-mile rides, as well as a bike ride for kids.

Clearview FCU, Moon Township, Pa., opened its new Chippewa Financial Center in Beaver Falls, Pa. In addition to a drive-up lane offering extended business hours during early mornings, later evenings and on Saturdays, the new location features video teller technology.
