First Capital FCU, York, Pa., showcases some of the vendors it has developed relationships with to offer special deals to its members, including Liberty Mutual Insurance, Krouse, Travel, the Jewish Community Center and Enterprise Car Sales. The event also included a blood drive, several food trucks, giveaways and free document shredding.

Special delivery
JetStream FCU’s Puerto Rico branch celebrates receiving care packages from their colleagues in Florida after Hurricane Maria. The Miami Lakes, Fla.-based credit union was able to open its branch on the storm-torn island because the branch is outfitted with a generator. But most employees there still do not have electricity in their homes.

More than 120 employees from Clearview Federal Credit Union take part in a group photoshoot in front of the new Clearview Live Drive Up Plaza at Clearview’s headquarters in Moon Township, Pa. The photo, taken on International Credit Union Day, was a chance for employees to come together not only to celebrate the Credit Union Philosophy of “People Helping People,” but also in honor of being named a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Top Workplace of 2017.
Pink Ladies
Headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colo., Aventa CU marks both its 60th anniversary and ICU Day, with staff dressed up in 1950s attire, as modeled here by employees at the CU’s Dublin, Colo., branch. The CU held trivia contests in each of its branches and online.
'I [heart] my credit union'
In Massapequa, N.Y., Island FCU staffers Anabel, Sarah, Sophia, and Cynthia share a happy moment with member Patria M. The Hauppauge, N.Y.-based credit union invited members and employees to pose with “I [heart] my credit union” signs. Photos were then posted to the CU’s social media and were tagged #ICUDay.
Temporary branch
Though based in Owings Mills, Md., First Eagle FCU these employees are pictured near its branch in Houston. The Houston branch experience massive flooding during Hurricane Harvey, so the credit union has established a temporary location in the lobby of a building nearby.
A real Class Act
Class Act FCU, Lousiville, Ky., hid 50 branded wallets all around the University of Louisville camput. Stuffed inside the wallets were a $2 bill, a $25 coupon for opening a new savings or checking account at the CU, an entry to win a Bluetooth speaker and information about what a credit unions is, as well as Class Act’s Student Honors checking account. Throughout ICU Day, while students and others on campus were finding the wallets, Class Act staff were asking them if they knew what a credit union was, taking the opportunity to educate them if they didn’t.

Boulevard's big 6-0
Boulevard FCU, Amherst, N.Y., was also celebrating its 60th anniversary on ICU Day this year, serving food and beverages, as well as raffling off three $50 Visa gift cards. Members also had the chance to spin the prize wheel.
