AMOCO FCU, Texas City, Texas, was voted the Best Credit Union for the second year and Best Mortgage Company for the third year by the readers of the Galveston County News.
Freedom FCU, Bel Air, Md., named local teacher Loretta Richardson winner of its $1,000 Golden Apple Plus Educator Award. Separately, the CU sponsored Patriot Programs at 19 area elementary schools, and won the 2015 "Good Neighbor Award" from the Havre de Grace Chamber of Commerce.
East Idaho CU, Idaho Falls, supported Ammon City T-ball. At the last game, EICU invited Charlie Chukar from the Idaho Falls Chukar baseball team to be a part of the action.
Align CU, Lowell, Mass., supported Our Neighbors' Table with a donation of $2,500.
Dover FCU, Dover, Del., awarded $1,000 scholarships to five students based on their outstanding achievements, community involvement, recommendations and submitted essays.
The CU League of Connecticut hosted national and local lawmakers at its annual Government Affairs Conference at the Hilton in Hartford, Conn. Separately, the league said the Save to Win prize-linked savings promotion had three winners from Connecticut.
Ent FCU, Colorado Springs, Colo., was voted the "Best Credit Union," "Best Mortgage Lender" and "Best Financial Advisor" by the readers of the Colorado Springs Business Journal in the 2015 "Best in Business" survey.
In Erie, Pa., team Erie FCU raised $1,520 for "Embracing Our Veterans" and collected a van full of food and items for "Project Support Our Troops" to be sent to our brave men and women currently serving overseas.
Aberdeen Proving Ground FCU, Edgewood, Md., selected U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant Elizabeth Schirling as the honoree in this year's "Nominate a Member - Spotlight a Soldier" program.
A team of 20 walkers from Altura CU participated in "The Pink on Parade Walk" in Riverside, Calif., to raise awareness of breast cancer.
Educational Systems FCU, Greenbelt, Md., donated 1,500 rulers, 1,500 pencils and $1,000 to the Montgomery County Public Schools Retirees Association's "Toolkits, Books and Backpacks" project.
America's Christian CU, Glendora, Calif., completed the remodeling of its branch in Azusa, Calif., located across the street from Azusa Pacific University.
