The Columbus, Ohio, corporate payments software provider 2Checkout.com Inc. said it has started offering its clients a prepaid debit card from Payoneer Inc. of New York for paying suppliers.
The agreement was announced Monday.
2Checkout's business-to-business payment software already lets users remit funds by wire transfer or checks. The vendor said the prepaid MasterCard Inc. cards offer faster access to funds than checks and would be especially valuable to companies that need to send money to suppliers in other countries.
The cards bear the 2Checkout logo and can be reloaded.
"The payment process is a unique opportunity to further a company's relationship with its payees long after funds are paid out," Yuval Tal, Payoneer's chief executive, said in a press release.
