The $3.3 billion-asset company attributed the gain to lower expenses and an increase in fee income.
Operating noninterest expenses fell 6.2% from a year earlier, to $1.4 million, though they were up 2.6% from the previous quarter. Similarly, the efficiency ratio improved from a year earlier but was slightly worse than in the previous quarter.
