Diebold (DBD) said Friday that Denali Alaskan Federal Credit Union agreed to buy 48 of its Opteva automated teller machines to replace older Diebold ATMs.

A majority of those ATMs will be outfitted with deposit automation technology that can accept cash and checks at the devices, the North Canton, Ohio, ATM maker says. Diebold will also provide outsourced services to the Anchorage-based credit union.

"As we replaced our older-model Diebold ATMs with the new Opteva terminals, it made economic sense to also transition various services to Diebold," said Dory Haworth, the credit union's director of ATM operations, in a press release. "Rather than retrain our staff, we can rely on Diebold's remote diagnostics, local facilities and technicians to provide the parts and service needed to keep our new ATMs up and running."
